Increasing Accuracy and Delivering Efficiency with CourseLeaf
"It’s automated and accurate. They are a great partner that has made our faculty much happier!"
- Jill Vaughn, Manager, Curriculum Systems and Processes at St. Louis Community College
St. Louis Community College (STLCC) has held fast to the fundamental belief that education has the power to lift us up — as individuals, as communities and as a city. It is this mentality that drives them to continually raise the bar and bring the absolute best forward.
When STLCC did an audit of the time and effort spent updating and editing their catalog and curriculum, they recognized a need to move away from an outdated and time-consuming process. They had been using a manual system to maintain their course catalog, and an outside vendor to rely on for curriculum management.
“So much time was being spent manually entering in data. Due to that process, there was a greater propensity for error. Our team knew there had to be a partner that could provide us with an automated solution that was customized for our specific needs with our catalog and curriculum management,” said Vaughn.
As STLCC began their search for a vendor to be able to customize a solution for their catalog and curriculum needs, they quickly realized that much of what the industry had to offer was difficult to use and very costly.
STLCC needed a user-friendly system that their faculty would be comfortable navigating to propose and approve new programs. Their search led them through many capability presentations by an array of vendors, but none were hitting the mark, until they heard from the CourseLeaf team.
“The standout for us was CourseLeaf’s ability to customize their software to fit our team’s needs," says Vaughn. "The cost was right on point and the ease of usability was unparalleled in our industry."
From the onset of STLCC bringing CourseLeaf software to their institution, training, information, and their accessibility to CourseLeaf’s team and resources made all the difference in how quickly and easily the team switched to an automated process.
“It’s automated and accurate. We can make updates and changes quickly, and if we have new faculty that needs training, the CourseLeaf team can step in and help guide our users. They are a great partner that has made our faculty much happier!” adds Vaughn.
